The Kitchen Cabinet: The Secretary Of Homeland Security

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., 15902-100A Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5P 0L8

November VIth, MMXVI

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

U.S. Homeland Secretary Jeh Johnson completes "The Kitchen Cabinet" entries by discussing his focus in the area of security & his frustration in not being able to hire students who have graduated security courses to keep public officials safe. Especially important as the Presidential Election Cycle ends Tuesday night & we will have both a President & a President-Elect who must be both kept safe to ensure an orderly transition of power.

"I cannot hire new Secret Service agents until I get a new appropriations bill passed by this Congress."

New York City,

Rory
