"Will The Senator Yield The Floor?"-Jeff Merkley

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #23, 9731-174 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5T 6G4

August XXIInd, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

The Sunset State of Oregon asks Senator Jeff Merkley to explain his thought process on urban decay & rotting water infrastructure. Without properly clean water, the citizenry can face things such as diseases. An issue The Dominion Of Canada faces as well. Look at Edmonton city streets for example, we face endless tax increases & yet nothing is really getting fixed properly, not just in water table issues but on land as well. I know what the Senator is saying is quite true as there were sections of CVIth (107th) Avenue by my apartment voted on to be repaired XXX (30) years ago which still haven't been touched. I am sure that there are millions of examples of decay in both urban & rural settings!

"In every corner of Oregon, & in every state across the country, we face crumbling water infrastructure that is a danger to families, to businesses, & to our economy."

Beaver State,

Rory

Interesting to note that while most of Oregon is in the Pacific Time Zone, Malheur County is mainly but not entirely in the Mountain Time Zone, making it one of only a few U.S. counties that legally observe two different time zones.
