June XXXth, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Sometimes at Executive Dissertations we must rely on "the best of the best" & that is exactly what we are doing here today on the occasion of what would have been my late mother's LXXIInd birthday. Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed. of Grade II at Afton Elementary School knew about planning school days, planning for possible summer school sessions, as well as the importance of summer vacations & students spending time on out of school adventures with their family's. Lets get June the super fan of Classic Illustrated Comics (owned jointly as a family venture with her dad Archie) to give us a lesson plan that we can follow!

Dear Dave:

Senator Richard Shelby of The Cotton Plantation State of Alabama ponders aloud on his belief in an absolute right to a sound education for all Alabamans & students in America.

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Newly declared Presidential Candidate for the Republican nomination Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey faces what many folks (including myself) do, weight challenge issues. Some are underweight & some like the Governor are overweight. Speaking to students at a New Jersey public school after weight loss surgery, Chris is quite human in encouraging in his remarks to look after their health like he did with his MMXIII procedure. A healthier body leads to a healthier mind & vice versa so I appreciate Chris's efforts in this matter.

"It's the best thing that I've ever done for my health. And I look back on it now & I wish I had done it years ago."

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Once again heading to The Prairie State of Illinois, we find Senator Mark Kirk chatting about recovering from a stroke. & losing your ability to comprehend text & reading. As my late mother June died of a stroke, I can definitely see where the Senator is coming from. You have to reeducate your cognitive abilities from scratch & being a United States Senator entails a lot of reading!

The Student Sayings Of Joe Friday On Fridays From Los Angeles, California Case One-Hundred & One

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

June XXVIth, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Checking on a badly burned young girl who was soaking wet & obviously dumped in a nearby lake, Detective Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department & his colleagues assume she is dead. Suddenly, she awakens but is so badly injured from her beating dies just hours later while in hospital care. The Det. checks files of missing young girls in their teen years & finds two open cases, he has both sets of parents come down & asks the dad of one of the girls (who has said the victim is his daughter) if she had boyfriends or really close people that she might associate with. In this way, since the body was found XLV (45) minutes from downtown Los Angeles, he can determine if the body was dumped there or at an alternate locale. This will save Det. Friday & his squad considerable time & effort in tracking down initial investigatory leads.

"Besides from boys, any men she might have had contact with?"

Dear Dave:

Senator Dick Durbin of The Inland Empire State of Illinois is next. The Senator sets his sights on his constant struggle to get educational resources & monies to classrooms for children of "special needs" status. This is to show that their disability can through proper education be turned into an ability.

"The next step is to provide schools with the resources they need to meet this goal."

It Seems Rather A "Pitt"y

Madam Speaker Jeanne Sauve
Mrs. Angela Pitt, MLA, Wildrose, Airdie

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin.
#6, 14504-108 Avenue
Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

June XXIIIrd, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA
Minister of Education,
New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

As an invited guest of the Hon. Sarah Hoffman, BA, MLA, Minister of Health, New Democratic, Edmonton-Glenora to the election of the Speaker, I find the comments made in Hansard by Angela Pitt, MLA, Wildrose, Airdrie quite fascinating. History students are right in terms of accepting Ange's statement that there has never been a female Speaker of a parliamentary assembly in Alberta. Although we of course have had Deputy Speaker & Former Red Deer North MLA Mary Anne Jablonski, Progressive Conservative.

However, it seems rather a "Pitt"y that Ange has forgotten her parliamentary history by saying we have never had one single female Speaker in The Dominion Of Canada or other parliamentary jurisdictions. May I remind the Honourable Lady that we had Her Excellency The Right Honourable Jeanne Mathilde Sauve, PC, CC, CMM, CD as the first female Speaker Of The House Of Commons from MCMLXXX-MCMLXXXIV (1980-1984) who was the Liberal MP at points for the Quebec ridings of Ahuntsic & later Laval-des-Rapides. Then later on becoming the XXIIIrd Governor-General of Canada from MCMLXXXIV-MCMXC (1984-1990.)

I would have loved a female Speaker here to but when the Hon. Rachel Notley, BA, LLB, MLA, Premier, New Democratic, Edmonton-Strathcona announced that she was backing the Hon. Bob Wanner, BA, MBA, MLA, New Democratic, Medicine Hat, it was a vote for Speaker that was merely a formality. However I do appreciate Ange's enthusiasm in bringing forth the idea that a female be elected to be the "ringmaster" in the Legislative Assembly Chamber at some point in the future!

That Would Be A Great Dynamic,

Rory

June XXIInd, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Senator Roger Wicker of The Hospitality State of Mississippi entreats readers of Executive Dissertations to listen to him as he comments on his absolute confidence in the public education system of his state. This is great that he is trying to encourage students to attend a public setting so they know it is of quality.

"I am a father of three children who graduated from the Tulepo public school system & went onto public universities, & my wife works for the University of Mississippi. I understand the important role that education plays in our children's futures & in our state's economic development, & I believe education should be a top priority for any elected official."

The Importance Of Dad's

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., Beverly Crest Hotel Courtesy Computer, Edmonton, Alberta

June XXIst, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Happy Fathers Day to you my good sir! My own brother has his birthday today & is a proud papa to two daughters (my super pretty nieces!) In addition, my father is still living so I'll get the honour of buying him a Fathers Day supper tonight. As a child(ren) grow up, the importance of a father figure in their life cannot be emphasized enough. If there is no dad, then the lady raising the kids should make sure to introduce her kid(s) to adult male role model figures so that they get both the masculine & feminine perspective as they start on their educational journeys. If its a two dad household, then I would suggest the gents make sure good strong women are around to give a good influence. Just as the provincial cabinet is now 50/50 equal gender, there must be a 50/50 balance of both men & women in the lives of kids so they can be confident in building relationships & dealing with both as they grow up!

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Don't "coat" Senator Dan Coats with any paint of The Hoosier State of Indiana into a corner as he looks at the future. Which is what Albertans just did electorally by changing from one governing party to another in the May Vth provincial election. As the only ever United States Senator to retire from office & then come back to his old seat after a few years, the Senator knows its time to "pass the baton" to Indianans of the future with younger & fresher ideas & so just like another famous son of Indiana you may have heard of who recently retired named David Letterman, Dan makes a classy retirement announcement just this past March XXIVth that he won't seek re-election & includes youth in his comments.

"I have concluded that the time has come to pass this demanding job to the next generation of leaders."

I know political science students are!

- Students out to know that Graham Mitchell Minister McCuaig's new Chief of Staff couldn't find oil in the middle of a field gushing with it.

- Students need to know that we need to approve Keystone & other oil projects Dave, despite your chant while in Opposition of "no new approvals" if we have any hope of getting out of this "welfare state mindset."

- Students need to know that if you really want a good oil man around to get Alberta's oil bidness "rolling like a General Patton juggernaut" again there is only one man you need to call. June XIIth, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

While on vacation at his high school class reunion, Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department is unexpectedly thrown onto the hate crimes file like the late & great Edmonton Police Service Constable Daniel Woodall & runs into verbal garbage & disrespect from an old classmate named Paul who has is considering joining a paramilitary organization bent on destruction, just like the shooter who died in the house fire & unfortunately took away Cst. Woodall from his family, his friends & his EPS colleagues & the general public too early. Joe is worried about Paul's racial tendencies & that he might want to convert kids to these viewpoints. He also points out that many citizens including police officers went to fight Nazism & the evil it does in WWII, & many of those gave their lives so that he & future generations of L.A. students (& students in general worldwide) could live in peace & harmony! Racist cops in the St. Louis Missouri Police Department (SLMPD), Baltimore Police Department & others better just listen to the wise words of Sgt. Friday. This is a cop that's not "black", not "white", but steel blue in his goal to "protect the innocent!"

"Paul I can't speak for the Department but I'll say this: We want help; we welcome help, from legitimate groups and responsible citizens. Now that doesn't include people who yell 'Spy!' every time they hear an accent; or who look under the bed at night for a seditionist; it doesn't include racists--white or black--& it lets out people who think legitimate protest is unconstitutional or that change is treason. It excludes nuts on either fringe, Paul--the guy who sees an anarchist in every kid with long hair. It excludes the Fielder Militia. Patriotism? Shoot 'em all down! That may be your philosophy, Paul, but it's not mine, & I don't think it's the Department's either. We work it a little different in this country. I wear a badge, Paul--not a swastika."

June IXth, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

I strongly back the play of Brent Rathgeber, QC, MP, Independent, Edmonton-St. Albert & your predecessor as MLA in the riding of Edmonton-Calder. Not only is Brent's Private Members Bill the right thing to do, I furthermore believe that the bill (which includes having a defendant's full criminal history beIV a judge when deciding whether s/he should be released) should include the tag on of an automatic death penalty if that said defendant is proven to have killed a police officer or other such law enforcement official or Ist reponder & is found "guilty" in a court of law! Never mind this socialist commie pinko way of justice we have here where murderers, rapists, & other thugs have all the rights & judges are weak. Never mind being concerned with the rights of the accused & ignoring the rights of the victims.

So I thank Brent for putting this bill forward & I thank the widow of St. Albert Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer Constable David Wynn, a Mrs. Shelley MacInnis Wynn for lending her support to it. Students of the law & student interns working at the court house & for law firms ought to know that protection of the police who are just executing the laws of the Dominion Of Canada should be put ahead of anyone else. This point is even more true now with the death of Edmonton Police Service Constable Daniel Woodall & the injuries suffered by Sergeant Jason Harley. Both of whom I see were & in Jason's case, are excellent officers of the law!

My Sympathies To The Woodall Family & EPS Extended Family,

June Vth, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

An Editor's Note: It would have been a lot less embarrassing for the Edmonton Police Service if the member ticketed for parking in the handicapped zone at the Tim Hortons wasn't Chief Rod Knecht himself!

Called into work an emergency Saturday shift after ten straight XII (12) hour shifts, Detective Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department realizes that he is dealing with a case of poisoned illegal narcotics. The case is appropriate to the day what with the accidental poisonings & one patient death at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. A young man, his girlfriend, & another man are dead because of them. One of the overdose victims killed another woman before he died. The Detective believes that he & his squad could be dealing with many more victims & the horror sets in. If more people die, undoubtedly many of them will be students with their whole lives ahead of them taken too early. His associate says that she thinks that the death might be localized but Det. Friday, ever cautious as always worries still as he has seen these victims of drug poisonings many times before & its sad to him that these kids never get to reach their full potential & are taken down in their prime. So he comments on his associate's remarks.

"I wanted her to be right, but my gut knew better. This case was far from closed."

Senator Bob Corker of The Butternut State of Tennessee looks at economic certainty as Volkswagen, the German car maker will add two-thousand (2,000) jobs at its Chattanooga, Tennessee plant. This can only be good for the manufacturing sector workers & their families who rely on their wages to live on.

"I deeply appreciate Volkswagen's significant long term commitment to the hometown & state that I love."

Volunteer State,

Rory

The Wheels Have Come Off The Bus

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA
Minister of Education,
New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Does anyone not realize that Edmonton Catholic Schools (ECSD) Media Spokesperson is more than slightly legally retarded? In my mind she should be placed on a Cunningham School Bus & driven ten blocks from her home & dropped off after being fired.

I. This is a woman who is told to allow our wonderful transgender students to be allowed to use washrooms of the opposite gender if they are living as such. Her response along with the ECSD Board was to say they were going to hold a meeting to punish Catholic Trustee Pat Grell, who was upholding the law! Lori Nagy has no compassion!

II. This is a woman who wants to fire a bus driver & deny him any form of pension &/or settlement for defending his life & those of the students on the bus. Which by his own video clearly shows that his life was in danger. Lori Nagy has no compassion!

III. This is a woman who is part of a school district that has many empty schools, or schools of a very low enrollment. I have no compassion for Lori Nagy & her job. She should be out the door! Edmonton Catholic Schools (ECSD) & any other Catholic jurisdiction with low enrollment should be have its charter revoked & then cannibalized into Edmonton Public Schools Division (EPSB) & the surplus buildings be sold off with the monies used to pay off deficits.

IV. Also, parents with families in newer areas should be given direct breaks on their school taxes to bus their kids to deactivated or low enrollment schools until the new schools come online. This would increase both capacity & efficiency Dave!

Lori Nagy What A Joke: It Should Be Lori The Nag,

Rory

Source: Myself.

P.S.: We could get the Minister: the Hon. Brian Mason, MLA, Minister of Transportation & Infrastructure, New Democratic, Edmonton-Highlands-Norwood & former bus driver to drive Lori for her last ride. In this way, we wouldn't have to hire an extra bus driver!

"Will The Senator Yield The Floor?"-Lamar Alexander

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

June Ist, MMXV

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Senator Lamar Alexander of The Hog & Hominy State of Tennessee makes a comment on helping students pay off their student loans in a much faster & less complicated matter so they can have cash for their daily lives.

"I voted for a long-term serious proposal to simplify the maze of student loan repayment options & make it easier for students to manage their loans relative to their income."

The Mother Of Southwestern Statesmen,

Rory
