Dear Gordon:

Senator Patrick Leahy Of The Green Mountain State of Vermont is quite remarkable in that he has held his seat for XL (40) straight years & is also the only ever Democratic Party member elected from Vermont to the U.S. Senate. Pat voices an opinion on how upset he is at the high rate of homicides against women & girls in his state due to domestic violence.

"More than half of homicides in my state of Vermont are related to domestic violence. This is simply unacceptable. We can & must do better."
