On this Mothers Day, its time to call upon the classics & the late Classics Illustrated Comics fanatic & Afton Elementary School teacher of Grade II, my wonderful ma, Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed. Time for ma to dish out a lesson plan.

PLANS

Tuesday, January 19th, 1971:

Printing: "i", "k", "l", "t", "v", "w", "x", "y", "z."
Phonics: long "a" & "i."
Language Arts: ABC order, chalkboard work to get things visually in addition to handwriting & instill in the students confidence about being in front of the public; projects.
Reading: Oral Reading (OR): "Mike, Mulligan" in groups then Unit #6 quiz.
Spelling: #14b & check.
Story: "Adventure of Momotaro."



Music: review for Mrs. Woodrow.
Arithmetic: counting.

Entertainment: - begin building store to learn about retail selling & buying.
                         - new covers & illustrations for:
                         1/Whamo dog food.
                         2/Ping toothpaste.
                         3/Zip Soup.
                         4/Voom Cereal.
                         5/Swoosh Soap.
                   -film: "Life Is A Marsh."

- door #6 supervision due to shortage of after school adult mentors.
