Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

President Dick Nixon was very smart & had the experience of being "Acting President" as Vice-President under President Dwight Eisenhower, Republican-New York & Kansas when "Ike" had heart issues, plus congressional & armed forces experience so he was well-suited to lead a nation. The President tells students not to give up so as to boost their courage after they have suffered a loss & the President knew of loss as he has brothers die on him when he was growing up.

"Defeat doesn't finish a man, quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits."

January XXth, MCMLXIX (1969)-August IXth, MCMLXXIV (1974),

Rory
