Dear Gordon:

A very bright & personable XV (15) year old young lady named Patricia Danvers called the main Los Angeles Police Department Station at the City Hall. She has found some packages of items that were stolen earlier that day from upscale Wilshire Boulevard stores, a fashionable district of Los Angeles. The tags were still on & having just been transferred over to Burglary Division, Sergeant Joe Friday & Officer Frank Smith are sent out to get further information from this smart & very observant young lady at her parents home nearby.

"The only logical thing we could think of was someone who was stealing for the sake of stealing: a kleptomaniac. Tuesday, September IVth (4th), a XV (15) year old girl in one of the exclusive residential neighborhoods reported finding II (2) expensive parcels containing womens clothing & expensive costume jewelry. They still had the tags on them. Frank & I went to talk to her."

It Has To Be Someone Who Lives Nearby Joe & Frank: That Seems The Most Logical,

Rory
