The Assemblymen-Ken Lemke, MLA

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

January XXXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

In these tough economic times, Ken Lemke, MLA is on the case for more rural development in order to provide job stimulus not for just his urban/rural riding, but for ridings with a rural component across Alberta. While agricultural & agrifood sectors that support family farming are important, diversification is also important in keeping these folks supported if family farms fall on hard days. Ken, having formally been in cabinet is very focused & reasoned in his message.

"We're looking at all the traditional things that would be involved with industry & business development, but we're also hoping to get some ideas from outside the box from various groups on how we can help business & industry develop in rural areas."

Alta. Legislative Assembly Forty-Seven,

Rory
