Spruce Speculative Science On Tony Vandermeer Running In The Grove

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

January XXIIIrd, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

While I certainly agree with the Hon. Jim Prentice, QC, PC, MLA, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Foothills & PC Leader & Alberta Premier that he cannot really comment on who might be the best candidate in a certain riding as he has to remain neutral. However students of the democratic process should know that Tony Vandermeer would make an excellent candidate in Spruce Grove-St. Albert to replace Doug Horner, MLA, Progressive Conservative there who is retiring anyway.

So the riding is free & clear & what with students involved as PC Alberta members across the province are holding nominations that include getting student party members out for whomever they think will best represent the party this comment on Mr. Vandermeer, a former two-term MLA makes sense. A caller named Roy pointed out to host Rob Breakenridge on the "Kingkade & Breakenridge Show" today on Corus Radio's 630 Ched & QR77 AM Radio today on a one hour "Talk II The Premier" segment with Mr. Prentice how this made great sense to have Mr. Vandermeer run.

I agree with the caller Roy's point that b/c of his connections in Neerlandia & his Dutch-Canadian background of pride in the working & farming classes, Mr. Vandermeer would be an ideal choice for the PC's as their next candidate in Spruce Grove-St. Albert whether in a byelection or general election scenario b/c quite a huge chunk of the riding is rural & filled with folks of the farming & agricultural sector. Roy only brought this up b/c Premier Jim signs all the candidate papers of nominated PC candidates in his capacity as PC Leader. As a result, he would have a good idea as to how a particular race or races might be shaping up.

Student Involved Democracy,

Rory
