"Pardon Me?"

November XIIth, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

As I turn XL (40) this week, I find it interesting that America's C-SPAN3 TV Network is airing a XLth anniversary special on the XXXVIIIth President of The United States Gerald R. Ford, Republican-Michigan granting a pardon to his predecessor the XXXVIIth President, Richard M. Nixon, Republican-Califiornia. Political science students & folks in general have debated whether or not it was right of Pres. Ford to grant Pres. Nixon a pardon need only to look to XXXVth President John F. Kennedy, Democrat-Massachusetts & XXXIXth President Jimmy E. Carter, Democrat-Georgia. Both of their Presidential Library's gave Pres. Ford awards for realizing that America would be even more divided if Pres. Nixon was tried & imprisoned & that his country, already hurting from the bitter Vietnam War started by XXXVIth President Lyndon B. Johnson, Democrat-Texas & continued under Pres. Nixon needed to heal. Whether you are for or against this pardon, it should be a great show.

Chief To The Hail,

Rory
