October Xth, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed.
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow Byelection Candidate As Unelected

Dear Gordon:

Part of the reason I'm doing quotes from every MP in the Dominion Of Canada is to show students that they need to have respect for the parliamentary process. The Prime Minister & many MP's seem to have lost that respect & just hold votes occasionally to cover themselves off, such as in the ISIS vote. The decision to launch airstrikes was no doubt reached at XXIV (24) Sussex Drive & in the PMO's office days earlier & the debate all staged. The Hon. Michael Chong, PC, MP is trying to make students see respect for parliament to & increase the powers of MP's on the Hill, which have been stolen away by many Prime Ministers for many years & I like that.

"The reform act is an effort to strengthen Canada's democratic institutions by restoring power & the role of elected members of parliament in the House Of Commons."

Number LXIX (69),

Rory
