The Parliamentarians-Arnold Chan, MP

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

October IXth, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow Byelection Candidate As Unelected

Dear Gordon:

A married father with III (3) sons & a lawyer & former representative on his childrens school council, newly elected MP from just this past June XXXth, Arnold Chan, MP reflects on the stresses of trying to balance a home life & a work life. He has to be a dad & represent the people XXIV/VII (24/7) as an elected official.

"Its always the work-life balance. We've been hearing about that. For me because I was formerly a political staffer, this is not particularly a surprise. But for me, its still different from being someone who works behind the scenes...As an elected official, you're the one who is ultimately accountable to your constituents & the Canadian public."

Number LXIV (64),

Rory
