Dear Jeff:

Things are difficult IV Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department it seems no matter what the day. Today, the Sarge is at a Los Angeles library looking at a water colour portrait of himself by a former juvenile gang member who has turned II art in a bid to stay off drugs and with the Sarge's help has been quite successful at it. Sgt. Friday has come inII the library on his day off IV an official presentation of the portrait & he has in turn donated it to the library IV display in its gallery of student art IV police appreciation week & it will be later auctioned off II the law abiding citizens of Los Angeles with the funds used II pay IV artistic scholarships IV future student artists. A truly fitting tribute. Another gang member's mother is still in denial about her son being in jail for committing a triple homicide & she walks inII the library in grief. Even though off duty, the Sarge has II comfort her & at the same time get her II accept that her son was heinous in his actions.

"She believed every word he said & had apparently refused to believe the possible consequences of what he had done & the future war he was planning from jail with his gang of juveniles."

That Was Smart Thinking Joe To Pull Her Aside & Assess The Problem Quickly II Keep Library Patrons From Being Nervous & Unlike In St. Louis Surrounding City Of Ferguson, Missouri Your A Cop That Can Be Relied Upon,

Rory
