Dear Jeff:

Always calm even in the worst possible of crisis situations, the violent death of a baby girl, Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department has to stay "matter of fact" in his pronouncements & comments, especially with his subordinates like Officer Bill Gannon. He may want to say more, but he has to both show his frustration &/or exasperation that he as a police officer couldn't keep the baby girl safe when he is sadly handed a grey baby blanket to place over the baby's young body to give her respect. Officer Gannon mentions that "a baby girl's baby blanket is supposed to be pink" to which the good Sergeant replies rather sombrely & yet correctly:

"Who ever heard of a pink shroud?"

An Interesting Perspective Joe,

Rory
