Dear Jeff:

Today Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department admits he is proud to pay taxes on his police officer's salary to help students in their educational endeavours. He does bemoan the fact that he would like to have a bit better salary & wages in order to supplement his police pension for when he retires. So basically the good sergeant has the same complaints as any average "working Joe."

"Oh the pay's adequate--if you count pennies you can put your kid through college, but you better plan on seeing Europe through your television set."

It Seems That No Matter Where You Fit In Life Even As A Cop You Can Have Financial Troubles,

Rory
