Dear Jeff:

Having toured The Little White School myself in St. Albert at #2 Madonna Drive, I can testify as to what a fascinating historical bvilding it is. Now here it is a suggested Summertime Historic Walking Tour in the very high class newspaper, The Edmonton Senior (edited by the superb Mr. Colin F. Smith, B. A. & located in St. Albert as well.)  I always think back to Anne of Green Gables & also my late mother, Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed. who taught in similar formatted bvildings in Clandonald & McLaughlin, Alberta. What fascinating times those must have been, keeping multiple students in multiple grades all on track. Plus the hardship in the fact they were all in one room (or in this case two), but all had to be individually catered to.

Tours of the school are on July XIth, & XXVth, August XVth & XXIXth, & September XIIth. Call 780-459-1528 to learn more. Or students & their family's who want to see how older generations were educated can go to Www.StAlbert.Ca.

A Historical Wonder,

Rory
