Dear Jeff:

The library dating system & that of Starfleet Academy (TM), Starfleet Command (TM), & vessels such as the U.S.S. Enterprise (TM) on Star Trek (TM) is a great numerical system. A series of numbers, followed by a period, then a second set of numbers lets students like me with extremely bad mathematical deficiencies find what we are looking IV in a library much easier. It does this by seperating the numbers into multiple groups so that we can get a break in between shelf hunting & don't get stressed if we miss a number.

So for instance: LEN is 938.05 & so on.

This Is Extremely Helpful & Much Appreciated By Others With Counting Troubles,

Rory
