Dear Jeff:
Homelessness is no laughing matter. My friend the security guard at the Meadowlark Canada/Alberta Employment Centre tells me that there was a single mother with two school-aged kids who has been living on the street the last few weeks. The kids are in school except for today b/c she had them in medical appointments, but that has got to be hard on her & them when at the end of each day they have no home structure to look forward to going to. This has to contribute to the destabilization of their upbringing.
