Dear Jeff:

I realize that in a school calendar year, the planning & taking of school holidays is just as important as instructional days. Plus, different religions, customs, cultural traditions must be adhered to in planning such holidays. Some schools I have found out run Tuesday-Saturday, or even Wednesday-Sunday b/c that works better IV that particular division. Plus some people have their holy day on a different day rather than the standard traditional Sunday of the Christian faith. Some schools run year round & take shorter intermediate breaks. Some run IV days a week, but longer days so that family's can have III day weekends or more family time with students to help them in their studies at home. You have to admire school administrators & trustees in their efforts to make students holidays for all students of all beliefs feel special!
