A Man Who Deserves Some Extra Recognition

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #203, 8912-156 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5R 5Z2

December IIIrd, MMXI

Hon. Thomas Lukaszuk, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Castledowns

Dear Thomas:

Robert Osborne, the host in primetime of "Turner Classic Movies" (Channel XLIX in Edmonton) is a great man. He will never win an Oscar (TM), but has always conducted himself with grace, elegance, & class. Your a Polish immigrant Thomas, so get students who appreciate the art of the film genre) to write letters & send emails to Www.Tcm.Com. I think they should change the name of "Turner Classic Movies" II "Turner/Osborne Classic Movies." I'm sure Ted Turner won't mind sharing the marquee with Robert. Poles who have immigrated here & their subsequent offspring must appreciate that TCM has run documentaries on polish life, even films spoken in Polish, with English substitles. Plus many films of historical record on say the Nazi invasion of Poland & the brave Polish Armed Forces & Polish Resistance Fighters.

Lets get behind this initiative Thomas. Robert Osborne would definitely appreciate his name on the marquee IV all of eternity rather than an Academy Award (TM). It would show him that his peers in Hollywood, New York, & the rest of the showbiz community really respect & admire him. Ever since TCM started in MCMXCIX, its been a runaway hit, it allows the students of today II connect with an earlier time in history when actors could actually act. It keeps their memory & their great acting skills alive. Write to CNN, TCM, Ted Turner, Jane Fonda, Larry King, Time Warner, & President Jimmy Carter. Write II whomever you think can influence this decision in a positive way

The Late Show,

Rory
