Hon. David G. Hancock, QC, MLA
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

Having just watched Academy Award (TM) Winner George C. Scott in his Oscar (TM) winning turn as World War II United States Four Star General George S. Patton Jr., I can truly say that the armed forces is a great place IV students. What with the return of the Canadian Navy & Air Force to "Royal" designated status, the armed forces of the Dominion of Canada is the place to be. Full health care, dental, travel, III square meals a day in combat theatres. Respect & the values learned of bonding & defending their comrades & this nation as a whole.

The armed forces is not just about killing, although you do get to exercise frequently, so you are in excellent physical shape. ThereIV, your cognitive skills are also sharper. When you serve so many years, or if you are a reservist part time, the Canadian Department of National Defense will pay for a portion &/or all of your courses. You can use that free education, perhaps even a full certificate, diploma, or degree towards career in the forces, or even in a civilian job once you leave Her Majesty's Service.

Write the Defense Department, write Defense Minister the Honourable Peter MacKay, House Of Commons, Ottawa, ON. K1A 0A6. You can then see where the opportunities are.

Lets Encourage The Military IV Students,

Rory
