Let Us Choose II Pray Or Not To Pray

Hon. David G. Hancock, QC, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

Its great to see so much integration in Edmonton Public Schools with Christian, Jewish, Islamic & other schools included as part of the system. But I do not see why some schools in the Dominion of Canada allow prayer during school hours & some do not. This seems II be a horrid inconsistency, I feel that each student should be allowed II pray II his/her choice of divine being, whether that be Jesus Christ, Yahweh, or Allah, or whomever they choose. Even in public schools is this necessary. As I stated I do feel you should continue funding Catholic Schools, but I would like it so that these & other religious educational schools allow those who attend there of other faiths a room in which to pray in.

Every Faith & Every Atheist Must Be Accomodated,

Rory
