A "Fine"ly Instituted Idea

Dear David:

Get anyone you know, all family's with students of ages down here to this EPL Branch, or any of the branches in the EPL chain. Until 6:00:01PM MST today, library branches citywide are accepting donations to the Edmonton Food Bank. Just bring in one non-perishable foodstuff (or item) & the library will knock $25.00 off any fine balance you have. This is a novel & great concept. Giving say a can of delicious tuna for a poor family has got II be a lot cheaper than having to pay off any fines owed.

Personally, I am really proud of the EPL Branch Library & T. Gavigan, head administrator of the EPL system IV instituting this program. Food Banks are constantly overrun what with the economy & the busy time of the holiday season. It can be a great time IV family's, but alas it can also be stressful. Especially with the need to make sure family's & their kids are fed, sheltered, educated, & clothed properly. All of these needs are exponentially difficult on tight finances, of course thus making the ability to make sure all the kids in the family have a Christmas present all the harder.

Hurry In David Folks Are Starving,

Rory
