Dear David:

I must certainly applaud retired Math Professor Werner Liedtke. He takes the time to play with building blocks with his grandsons so that they can have fun learning about shapes & numbers. These visual aides make great projects IV building things like buildings, and castles. Plus they let Dr. Werner's grandsons gain a real appeciation for basic mathematical principles & engineering skills. Fun projects with blocks include building a structure, then asking the child(ren) II visualize it after seeing you build it. Thats called "bonding." Another project is to get the kids to chat about what they are building (as they build it.) In this way they will become even more excited about mathematical problems, as well as the overall experience of actually learning.

X To The Power Of XIV,

Rory
