They do no make quality broadcasters like Larry King anymore. He's stepping down at just the right time. LIII (53) years on the air, XXV (25) at CNN alone as host of Larry King Live. We must teach kids in language courses and students in broadcasting colleges such as NAIT that Mr. King has set a higher standard of oratory. First in newspapers, then radio & finally on CNN. Sort of like the late Tom Snyder & the still Correspondent Emeritus for CBS News' 60 Minutes, Mike Wallace.
Larry is LXXVI (76) years old & has two young sons and a wife who has faced depression troubles including a recent suicide attempt. Good IV Larry, he's putting his family first & making them more special then his career. Luckily he will still appear on the air with specials, documentaries and sports programming. Get students II watch his archival footage. Larry with his broadcast microphone circa MCMXXX's (1930's) on the desk has a way of making folks feel at ease. Kids can learn Larry's style & use that II conduct quality interviews inII the future.
Signing Off & Watch The Pictures As They Fly Through The Air,
