Hon. David G. Hancock QC, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

That Elwood Brinton is my new hero. In tandem with the cops who had their sirens blaring, this gave Elwood just enough reaction time II get his daughter yanked back & himself out of the way. His fortitude, bearing & class in this matter in protecting his child make him aces in my book. No child should have II go through being possibly killed in her school yard or on the sidewalk near it.

I mean the behaviour dsplayed by these thieves was beyond atrocious. Stealing is wrong but if you have any common sense as a thief you go through industrial areas and core streets. You do not go where children congregate! If there was ever a case where the cops, the City of Edmonton & Edmonton Catholic should dole out a reward IV being heroic and a civilian crime fighting buddy, its to Elwood Brinton & his brave little girl!

A child saved after all is another future assured, another young mind that can be developed as a positive member of society!

Blessed Victoria Day Weekend David,

Rory
