Dear David:

Hope you are enjoying your spring break. I am unsure of something. But when I was sitting in the gymnasium at Capilano School, I had a gentleman hand me a flyer that was a rigged personal commentary against Trustee George Rice, Ward G. Should this not be illegal? I do not begrudge the gent the right II hand out the flyer on any topic of his choice, but should he not have been limited to the adjacent sidewalk or only as far as the school lobby that leads to the gymnasium?

Whether he is for or against Trustee Rice, thats his total right. But by being allowed to openly spout off political views against the Trustee in written &/or oral formal right in the gym is clearly a course of action that will lead up to say "undue influence." Undue influence of parents, teachers, administrators, EPSB officials, the media, the general public. I am not trying to discourage free speech, but the last thing a parent should be doing is inciting hostility or violent thoughts towards the Trustees who are clearly already in a pressure cooker situation.

Blessed Easter Weekend David To You, Janet & The Hancock Clan,

Rory
